Installation Readiness Guide
At Ridgecrest Outdoor Living, we believe customers deserve to understand what is required before a product arrives.
Many premium outdoor living products – including saunas, cold plunges, fire features, hot tubs, and outdoor structures – require more than simply opening a box and plugging them in. They may involve site preparation, utility connections, freight delivery considerations, or assembly requirements.
To help customers plan confidently, Ridgecrest developed the Installation Readiness Framework. Each applicable product page includes an Installation Readiness level and additional guidance to help customers understand delivery, assembly, utility, and site preparation requirements before purchase.
What Is Installation Readiness?
Because Ridgecrest does not provide installation services and does not act as a contractor or construction coordinator, we developed Installation Readiness as a simple way to help customers understand the level of preparation required before a product can be safely installed, assembled, or used.
Our goal is to help you:
• Understand what may be required before delivery
• Avoid unexpected installation challenges
• Plan utility connections and site preparation
• Make informed purchasing decisions
Installation Readiness Levels
Level 1 — Ready to Use
Minimal setup required.
Typical examples:
• Patio furniture
• Portable fire features
• Outdoor accessories
Level 2 — Basic Setup Required
Some assembly or preparation may be required.
Typical examples:
• Modular furniture
• Portable wellness products
• Certain outdoor accessories
Level 3 — Installation Required
Utility connections or more substantial setup may be required.
Typical examples:
• Electric saunas
• Gas fire features
• Chiller-based cold plunges
Level 4 — Advanced Installation
Products may require site preparation, dedicated utilities, or coordination with local professionals.
Typical examples:
• Large outdoor saunas
• Permanent wellness installations
• Outdoor structures
Important Delivery Note
Freight delivery and installation are separate services.
Most large Ridgecrest products are delivered curbside. Delivery personnel generally do not assemble, install, connect, or position products in their final location.
Before Delivery
Depending on the product, customers may wish to confirm:
• Delivery access
• Installation location
• Electrical requirements
• Gas requirements
• Water requirements
• Site preparation needs
• Local permit or HOA requirements
Complimentary Delivery Readiness Concierge
Certain products include a complimentary Delivery Readiness Concierge service.
Depending on the product and installation requirements, a brief pre-delivery call may be required before shipment to help confirm site readiness, delivery access, utility requirements, and installation planning.
Our goal is simple: No surprises on delivery day.
Why We Do This
We created this framework because many outdoor living products are significant purchases that require planning. Understanding requirements before delivery helps reduce surprises, improve installation outcomes, and ensure a better ownership experience.
