Every Ridgecrest product page includes a Ridgecrest Installation Readiness™ panel, so you can see exactly what a product needs before you buy it, not after it arrives.

It's a standardized way of evaluating and communicating the delivery, utility, placement, assembly, and installation considerations for every product we sell, applied consistently whether it's a sauna, a cold plunge, or a fire feature. The goal is simple: fewer surprises, and a confident decision before you order.

Four Levels, at a Glance

Every product gets one overall Installation Readiness Level, so you can compare complexity across products at a glance.

Level 1 · Ready to Use
No installation required. Minimal setup required.

Typical examples:

  • Patio furniture
  • Portable fire features
  • Outdoor accessories

Level 2 · Basic Setup Required
Light assembly or simple connections. Some assembly or preparation may be required.

Typical examples:

  • Modular furniture
  • Portable wellness products
  • Certain outdoor accessories

Level 3 · Installation Required
Dedicated utilities, mounting, or site preparation required. Utility connections or more substantial setup may be required.

Typical examples:

  • Electric saunas
  • Gas fire features
  • Chiller-based cold plunges

Level 4 · Advanced Installation
Multi-trade coordination, or structural work or integrated utility systems. Products may require site preparation, dedicated utilities, or coordination with local professionals.

Typical examples:

  • Large outdoor saunas
  • Permanent wellness installations
  • Outdoor structures

What the Icons Mean

Alongside the overall Level, every product page shows standardized icons covering the specific things worth knowing before you buy:

  • Electrical — what circuit or service the product needs
  • Gas — fuel connection requirements, if any
  • Water — plumbing or drainage needs, if any
  • Site Prep — what the ground or surface needs to be ready
  • Delivery — how the product will arrive and what that involves
  • Assembly — how much setup is involved after delivery
  • Placement — where and how the product is meant to sit
  • Professional Guidance — whether a licensed electrician, plumber, or contractor is recommended
  • Warranty — what's covered by the manufacturer

The Level and the icons work together: the Level tells you the overall complexity, and the icons tell you specifically why.
